The aim of this toolkit is to enable the sharing of knowledge and good practice in the area of financial capability across government. To facilitate and encourage discussion around the areas that contribute towards world class financial capability.
To achieve a desirable level of financial capability within an organisation it is necessary to identify the 7 building blocks that contribute to financial capability as a whole, these building blocks are identified below. The building blocks are interrelated and combine to determine the level of financial capability within an organisation, each must be considered in turn when seeking to identify where improvements should be made. The failure to do this may lead to a key building block being over looked. A method of appraising these interrelated areas can be found in the form of the Graphic Equaliser.
The 7 building blocks - Click on each of the building blocks for recommended processes, case studies & tools/guidance.
Click on the links below to view useful tools and Guidance for each stage of the process.
